| Our Lady of the Lake
Catholic Community Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Community was founded
in 1877 and was formerly known as St. Agnes Church. It was in 1878 that the mission
parishes of Bayfield, LaPointe, Odanah and Ashland were transferred to the charge of the
Franciscans of the Sacred Heart Province. Our church has a membership of 1,350 families
and our school offers a quality education from pre-school to 8th grade.
Worship is held through the week at 7:30 a.m., on Saturday evenings at
6:00 p.m., and on Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. The Sacrament of
Reconciliation is performed at 5:15 p.m. every Saturday and faith-based education is
available through Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School.
